Hi all

due to accumulated bug fixes, i think we should make a new release from release/8.0 soon

if tehres something you want backported, please backport it. (ill of course try to get my fixes
backported before the release as well)

Drawtext has been broken since 6.1. I hope #20917 can be merged and backported before 8.0.1.
The first two commits are straight forward, I'm not sure on the third.

if someone reviews the pr then please apply and backport

not sure ill review it, I have no special knowledge about harfbuzz

Patch 3/3 is common.h, which is maintained by you according to the MAINTAINER file.
