Hi. I just went to the new archive for this mailing-list.
Is it just me or does it suck?
I am looking at
<https://lists.ffmpeg.org/archives/list/ffmpeg-devel@ffmpeg.org/thread/OU7LIDH65GJLH7IXSU7TBUCEUNDBRNQW/>
and I am not seeing any way to make a link to my own mail.
Regards,

Nicolas George

The little chain icon in the lower right, next to the thumbs up and
thumbs down, generates:
https://lists.ffmpeg.org/archives/list/ffmpeg-devel@ffmpeg.org/message/LHST53IEEVLV7ZFNAA3274N652WHRVA6/

Thanks. It sucks a little less than the first impression. But it still
sucks. The fact that it defaults to a non-monospace font, for starters,
and tries to “pretty print” the mail is terrible for our use.

Also: threading. For example, this thread
<https://lists.ffmpeg.org/archives/list/ffmpeg-user@ffmpeg.org/thread/Q4TED2ECCNO4LNH2DSUAH4YZYAMF3QX5/>
that looks like that wit a MUA that supports threading :
[FFmpeg-user] Bruce Gavin : Access Exception 0xC0000005 from Windows.CreateProcess()
└─>[FFmpeg-user] Gyan Doshi : Re: Access Exception 0xC0000005 from Windows.CreateProcess()
├─> Bruce Gavin
│ └─> Gyan Doshi
└─> Bruce Gavin
└─> Tobias Rapp
On the web version, there is a vague indentation to show the threading,
but nothing as readable as what we used to have.

This is a lot better. I do not find how to get a threaded index like we
used to have, but it looks usable.
Thanks.
Could we have a link to this version in the information page of the
list?

This is good too, but it is not ours.

There will always be a question for which you do not know the correct answer.

Hi. Thanks for the reminder. It is not easy to add usefully, but I can
propose the attached patch.

Alas, that would be the place where it is most useful.

If you fake or manipulate statistics in a paper in physics you will never
get a job again.
If you fake or manipulate statistics in a paper in medicin you will get
a job for life at the pharma industry.

Proposing patches to any kind of Libre or open source software related
to mail is a study in frustration, these guys are incredibly dogmatic
for some reason.
