Because it is just plain logical truth: somebody's boss CAN do what I
described in the part of my mail that you just snipped. That is a simple
fact. (Try arguing against it…)

Whether any particular somebody's WOULD actually do it… depends on the
boss. Some are definitely not above that at all, but nobody here knows
if they are around the FFmpeg project.

I hope you can grasp the difference between CAN and WOULD. That would be
better than calling somebody's logical arguments “FUD”.
