What we are seeing here is a small group of people with some skills in social engineering bullying Michael and manipulating occasional contributors in order to take control of the project. Just like we saw in the months leading to the attempted hostile takeover. What I cannot say is whether the purpose is only a matter of self-interest, steering the gratis work of Michael and other brilliant contributors towards applications that are profitable for companies, or whether some of them have more nefarious purposes, like some kind of supply-chain attack.
