Hi Gianluca,
I had thought about it and read the GSOC regulations yesterday. Unfortunately, it's a huge load of things that they are expecting a mentor to do and that appears to be way more time that I'd be able to spend. Besides, some of the things they are expecting mentors to do are - let's say - pretty much on the other end of what I find joyful kinds of work.
I'll happily advise and provide feedback on the technical side if somebody else would be interested to take a mentoring role and wants me to.
Also, outside of GSOC if you want to go that way. Just be aware that any work done before GSOC will not count as your results, so probably better wait until you definitely know the route.
