Now we are working on integrating the FFmpeg library into our Multimedia module as one of the possible backends. Android is one of our target platforms, and we now face the issue of lacking Hardware Acceleration for Encoding for Android. We are evaluating the possibility of hiring a consulting service to implement the Mediacodec Hardware encoder in FFmpeg. So we would like to know if any developer would be interested in taking on this consulting project. Anyway, since Zhao Zhili pushed his before us, and both implementations are somewhat similar, we decided to not push ours and start working on top of his implementation. Some of that new work is visible on https://git.qt.io/saraposo/ffmpeg/-/tree/zn_mediacodec , and we plan to push it afterwards 😊 For now, we are working in adding bitrate option for vbr/cbr and some more encoders. We are also up for help in ffmpeg.
