However, this complicates the PTS related parts, specifically calculating JxlFrameHeader.duration from PTS for the first frame (since you said that AVFrame->duration is unreliable). There'd still have to be an AVFrame stored in the context because of it, since we don't have two PTSes yet that we can subtract from one another.
