Subject: [FFmpeg-devel] avfilter_config_links() deprecated and removed - alternatives?
Date: Mon, 23 Feb 2026 09:57:50 +0000
Message-ID: <CAHoy8Eg5qOSAcH+y5gV5cGLb6ZUiBJpF-CvJhEp4=P0c3Tc2Cg@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
Hey devs...
I'm looking for alternatives and approaches to dynamically changing
source (+ filterchain) on an audio filtergraph.
As avfilter_config_links() has now been removed, I'm unable to
configure the new links that are created when a new source-filterchain
is attached (replacing the previous filterchain). This approach has
worked perfectly for a few years - we're exporting hundreds of
thousands of videos per day as we speak.
I've written more here:
https://lists.ffmpeg.org/archives/list/libav-user@ffmpeg.org/thread/DAFYOGL32PG4N6ICFECWGU6MY2WVE3LL/
Happy to know of any previous discussions or ideas, so that I can
implement the right patch, if someone can point me.
Thanks,
Nolan.
