We can't really control if people prefer to develop encoders outside of
FFmpeg as James says, and such projects would be free to pick their own
development process. There's also no need to fetishistically implement
subpar encoders either, since that splits encoder developer resources.
Just let packagers enable the glue for these external encoders and our
job is done.

Good. AI is a meme. Polynomial regression is just as good.
