The main reason behind this change is adding floating point precision to scale/crop to the zoompan filter. However the current zoompan filter have a few things that don’t fit my use case:
- output aspect ratio is forced to be the same as the input aspect ratio
- output size can't be dynamic
- PTS is rewritten
I've tried updating the current zoompan filter but couldn't do something that wouldn't break things for the users.
Therefore I ended up creating this new filter.
